IBI Group

 

IBI Groups leading surveying product RouteMapper combines the power of high-resolution digital video, Global Positioning systems (GPS) and databases to provide a rapid method of recording network and highway information for management, design, environmental, utility and natural resource mapping. Solar Signs

  

Solar Signs UK ltd will be demonstrating our solar powered variable message signs. We will have our trailer mounted MB2 model in the display area. As will all our products the MB2 can provide highly effective way of improving road safety. It's able to operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week requiring little or no maintenance. The sign is highly visible whatever the weather conditions from bright sunlight to dense fog and is easily transportable to wherever needed. Signs can be changed remotely using a mobile phone connection and radar speed detection is available on most models. These qualities apply to all our other products including radar speed trailers, larger MB signs and our popular truck and vehicle mounts. Greavsey Jet Blast

Greavsey Jet Blast offer ultra high pressure water jet blasting services for the removal of anti skid.
Still fairly new to the UK, this system means that anti skid can be removed in a one-step process by bombarding the material and chipping it away layer by layer. It is environmentally friendly and, unlike other methods, will not cause serious detrimental effect to the road surface. It is a one-off process and no resurfacing is necessary which means less disruption to traffic and pedestrians, more cost-effective and less labour intensive

 

In the demonstration this year Greavsey Jet blast will be displaying this truck. It is a 32 tonne hydro blaster for ultra high pressure water retexturing, road marking removal, rubber removal from runways, contaminate removal and anti skid removal. 

 

DP Cold Planing Ltd

DP Cold Planing, one of the UK's leading operators of road milling machines for highways construction and resurfacing, has launched a new roads repair division, with the Road Repair Patcher as its prime tool.  And after the success of the first of these high productivity, one-man solutions to potholes and cracks

DP Cold Planing's Pothole repair Division is complementary to its traditional road planing operation and is targeted at existing customers - highways authorities and their contractors.

Our service is designed to help the local authorities use their budget better: if roads can be repaired and made safer it allows the local council to use the bulk of its highways budget on a planned programme of resurfacing and renewal.  Traditional paching of potholes and repairing cracks in the road is time consuming and labour intensive and, as a result, quite expensive.  We have invested in the machines that will do the job quickly and permanently, and with the mobility and flexibility to cover the whole of the country.

 

Glasdon

Glasdon UK Limited will have on show their revolutionary new gritting machine, the Cruiser Turbocast 1000. The large capacity, unique broadcast and drop spread action, effectively spreads both wet and dry grit/salt.

Highway Care Ltd

LorryGuard is a lorry mounted crash cushion designed to offer protection to road workers, motorists and expensive contractor equipment.  LorryGuard absorbs energy of a rear-end impact, preventing errant vehicles from a direct impact with construction vehicles.  LorryGuard is tested to NCHRP-350 Test Level 3 so is designed to withstand impacts of vehicles up to 2000kg at speeds up to 100 km/h.

 

 

Stirling Lloyd  

"Stirling Lloyd will be demonstrating their new range of highway maintenance products designed specifically to provide immediate and permanent reinstatement.  The products include a range of innovative cold plastic line marking systems, colour demarcation, skid-resistance and highly durable patch repair as well as road crack and joint sealing systems.

 

Also on show will be the Eliminator?, market leading bridge deck waterproofing membrane and the Sentinel " range of Expansion Joints."

Euro-block

The euroBlock is a BRAND NEW product on the market requiring NO CEMENT thanks to it’s unique Interlocking System.  This product is protected by Patent GB2414745
The inventor has been in the construction industry for over 30 years and brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. The concept is a solution to a need in the marketplace for a safe, cost effective product with minimum manpower required to install.

Pike Signals

 

The master head set has been developed for a very quick light weight method of positive traffic controll. It is light weight very simple to set up and dismantle, cableless and can be stored in the back of the average estate car.

It has a running time of approxamatly 24 hours from a small light weight battery box, and can be re charged over night.

  

 

 

Farrer Consulting

Farrer Consulting are specialists in Utility Surveying, Asset Management & Data Cleansing. On display will be their Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), consisting of a Swedish specialist Utility Location radar system. Used in conjunction with Electromagnetic Tracing Equipment, utilities located in the sub-surface can be accurately located and traced. A practical display of the use of Ground Penetrating Radar to locate pipes will be on display and available to try.

Utility Surveys have a wide range of applications across multiple businesses and utilities. There is a growing need for accurate utility location and Farrer Consulting Ltd are uniquely placed to offer Utility Surveys to suit the client's needs. The system on display in the demonstration area will be the Mala EasyLocator, a specialist Utility Location radar manufactured in Sweden by Mala Geoscience.
